8/13/10 - Portion of Proceeds From Sale of Sassy Flower Pot To Benefit Local Non-Profit

August 13, 2010, Conway, S.C. —Sassy Girl Gifts & Special Things, with the mission to nurture and support the area’s youth, is donating $5 to Katie’s Project for every Sassy Flower Pot sold now through September 30, 2010. The Sassy Flower Pot shares the positive message of “Grow where you are planted,” capturing the spirit of Sassy Girl and Katie’s Project.
 
The flowerpots were designed and hand-painted by Sassy Girl owner Vicki Castle and local artist Sara Borusovic. Each pot has been autographed by Borusovic. Customization of the pot is available for a small additional fee.

The Sassy Flower Pot may be purchased at Sassy Girl Gifts & Special Things, located in Historic Downtown Conway, 1019 Fourth Avenue. Orders can be placed at Katie’s Closet, 3064 Deville Street at Market Commons. More information about the Sassy Flower Pot is available by calling (843) 488-4475.

2/11/10 - Katie's Project and Daisy Troop 662 Partner for Dress Drive

Myrtle Beach, SC- Daisy Troop 662 visits Katie's Closet at Market Common to learn more about how Katie's Project helps students prepare for prom.  Executive Director, Kathy Foxworth along with, Advisory Board Member, Taylor Van Etten, shared with the 11 first grade scouts the value of helping others in their community.  The Daisy Troop, under the leadership of Julie Saylor, is helping Katie's Project by collecting dresses during the 2010 Dress Drive that is currently underway.
